Frequently asked questions

By default, all of our Managed Dedicated Servers are provisioned using the AlmaLinux 8 or 9 operating system. You can also choose to run the CloudLinux OS on your server by selecting this addon during the checkout process. If you would like another operating system then please get in touch with us for a custom server quote.

Yes! We provision all Managed Servers with RAID protected drives but this isn't a substitute for taking backups, as RAID arrays can and do fail. we strongly recommend taking regular offsite backups of all your important data. We provide multiple backup options including automated external backups and attaching an additional backup drive to your server, all of which can be selected during the checkout process.

Yes! If you would like a configuration with SATA drives rather than Solid State Drives we can certainly provide you with this, please get in touch for a custom quote. You'll find that SATA drives give you more storage space but even standard (non NVMe) SSD's are over 3 times faster than their SATA equivalent so if you are willing to sacrifice storage space, SSD is usually our recommended option.

Yes! Unlike other managed service providers, we do provide you with full root access to your Dedicated Server (unless you don't want us to!).
